How to Make Egg Carton Flowers
Make a bouquet out of egg carton flowers! It’s a great painting craft for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day or just because!
For this craft you’ll need:
• Acrylic paint
• Brushes
• Paper plates for palettes
• Scissors
• Water
• The bottom of an egg carton
• Paper towels
• Pipe cleaners
Paint the inside and outside of your egg carton. Each cup will be one flower and you can paint them however you like. Let the paint dry for 15 minutes.
Ask your children why they’re making certain decisions. When kids make simple decisions like picking a paint color, they’re actually developing critical thinking skills.
Crafting with kids helps develop hand-eye coordination which can help them write, play sports and more.
While you wait, sing “Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary” – it’s a flower song!
Mary, Mary, quite contrary,
How does your garden grow?
With silver-bells,
And cockle shells,
And pretty maids all in a row.
Poke little holes in the bottom of the cups with scissors.
Cut out each flower and pick out stems.
To add stems, make a little loop around your finger so that the pipe cleaner stays in place.
Cut petals into the carton cups.
